The Chinese New Year's public holiday of The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Wuhan of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will be extended to 2 February 2020. The designated hotline of the Immigration Services Division will continue to be in operation

The General Office of the State Council of People's Republic of China announced on 27 January 2020 that in order to minimize the spreading of pneumonia cases induced by novel coronavirus infection, the 2020 Chinese New Year's public holiday will be extended to 2 February 2020 (Sunday). The Chinese New Year's public holiday of The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Wuhan (WHETO) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, as well as its Hunan Liaison Unit and Henan Liaison Unit, will be extended to 2 February 2020. For assistance during this period, Hong Kong people in Hubei, Hunan, Henan, Jiangxi and Shanxi may continue to contact the Immigration Services Division of WHETO(Designated Hotline︰(86)158 0277 5135). The Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health has set up a designated webpage (https://www.chp.gov.hk/en/features/102465.html) providing related information and health advice about “Severe Respiratory Disease associated with a Novel Infectious Agent”.
